The annual Arizona NASA Space Grant Consortium (AZSGC) Student Research Symposium is a statewide event that includes student presentations from The University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and AZSGC community colleges and high schools. The Symposium consists of presentations on a variety of topics based on research completed by Space Grant interns, scholars and ASCEND teams during the current academic year.

The 2025 Symposium will be hosted by Arizona State University (ASU) Space Grant in Tempe and Scottsdale, AZ on April 18-19, 2025. Please visit our website for more details: https://spacegrant.arizona.edu/students/symposium

Notice on Guests: Due to budget and space constraints, only graduating seniors may bring a guest to the Friday evening event. All guests are welcome to see Saturday presentations, but will not be provided lunch at the event. Guests do not need to submit an RSVP form. They may make a nametag and check-in at any of the registration tables upon their arrival.

This form will remain open through March 21, 2025.

Abstract Information - Due March 21, 2025

If your presentation is part of a multi-speaker or team presentation, all members of the team may have the same "Abstract/Project Title" and "Abstract Content" to indicate they are working together. You may also submit unique titles and abstracts if you choose.

Note: Each team member must submit a separate Abstract/RSVP form with their individual information (name, major, etc.) regardless of sharing an abstract or not.

Abstracts are to be one paragraph and no more than 150 words long. Abstracts will be cut off at 150 words in the Symposium booklet if they do not comply with this restriction. To ensure abstracts comply with the 150 word limit, this is a word limited/restricted text field.

Suggestion: Write your abstract in Word to check your word count. When satisfied, copy/paste your abstract into the field.
Topical Sessions and Presentations
Which session most closely aligns with your research topic?
Each ASCEND team is required to participate in the ASCEND poster session. Each team has the option to also present one 10-minute PowerPoint presentation, if they choose.
If you have a large team of presenters, you may request more than one speaking slot to give everyone enough time to present.
This information helps us match student teams in their designated presentation slot.
